Shaping the Future of Brazilian Capital Markets
The Futures Radar was designed as a strategic tool to support innovation, foresight, and decision-making in the Brazilian capital markets. Built upon a structured AI-enhanced trend mapping process, the radar provides both a visual and analytical perspective of the main innovations set to impact the sector in the coming decade.
Developed under the umbrella of the ANBIMA Innovation Network, the Brazilian Financial and Capital Markets Association, this project strengthens ANBIMA’s position as a key reference in curating forward-looking content for the financial system. It brings together 50 curated innovations — spanning technologies, emerging movements, and transformative concepts — organized across six key areas of change. Each innovation was selected based on its relevance and maturity, following a rigorous evaluation process.
More than just predicting future trends, the radar aims to stimulate a collective and strategic vision of the present, emphasizing that preparing for the future begins with understanding the current drivers of change. By broadening the scope beyond technology to include cultural and behavioral trends, ANBIMA underscores its commitment to building a resilient, competitive, and forward-thinking capital market.

Envisioning curated an extensive list of 90+ innovation signals spanning technologies, behaviors, and business concepts, derived from global and local reports. Through expert reviews and evaluation by members of the ANBIMA Innovation Network, the list was narrowed down to 50 entries with the highest potential to impact the capital markets over the next decade. Each signal was analyzed for its maturity, potential relevance, and transformative capacity. The radar’s content offers both an introductory snapshot for newcomers to the topic and a strategic deep dive for industry leaders.
The interactive radar includes a GPT-powered AI assistant designed to enrich the user experience. This assistant allows visitors to ask questions, explore trends, and receive contextualized answers based on the radar’s content. Prompt suggestions were also built into the tool to inspire users to navigate the platform in a dynamic and personalized way, highlighting the value of each innovation and its relevance to capital markets.
To broaden accessibility, the radar was created in Brazilian Portuguese and fully translated into English, ensuring that the platform could engage both local and international audiences.
Envisioning participated in ANBIMA’s yearly summit to officially launch the Futures Radar, presenting its methodology, findings, and interactive features to a large audience of industry professionals. In the following months, a series of online workshops were held with experts from the Brazilian financial sector. These workshops focused on three key themes — Impacts of AI, The Future of Governance, and The Investor of the Future — fostering collaborative discussions and co-creation of ideas around the radar’s insights.
In addition to the traditional Technology Readiness Level (TRL), the radar introduced a Relevance metric to evaluate each innovation’s potential impact on the financial sector. This metric was based on scores (1 to 5) collected from the ANBIMA Innovation Network community, representing a collective perception of each innovation’s importance. Only the top-rated signals were included in the final radar, resulting in a selection of high-relevance innovations. The Relevance score is visually represented by a bar on each radar entry, providing users with a clear understanding of priority areas for exploration and investment.
