Innovating for the Future of Food with the WFP

In collaboration with the UN World Food Programme’s Innovation Accelerator in Munich, we developed a technology radar that highlighted emerging technologies poised to transform the future of food and agriculture. The radar was launched at a live event and featured in-depth insights on technologies directly linked to initiatives, startups, and organizations within the WFP’s network, showcasing their relevance and impact on global food security.
Each technology was also aligned with specific Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), offering a comprehensive view of how technological innovations could address critical challenges in food sustainability. This radar served as a key tool at the launch event, providing attendees with an interactive and informative experience. It fostered discussions on the intersection of technology, agriculture, and sustainability, emphasizing how innovative solutions can contribute to global food security.
Our Work
- Developed a food technology radar for the World Food Programme.
- Tagged technologies with relevant initiatives and evaluated their impacts.
- Conducted in-depth research to align technologies with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Impact
- Showcased the radar at the live launch event, engaging the audience in discussions on food security.
- Highlighted the role of technology in food sustainability and its potential to drive global food security solutions.
We conducted interviews with AgTech experts to gather diverse perspectives on emerging technologies in food sustainability. These findings were combined with existing research to provide a robust overview of technologies shaping the future of food. The radar mapped out key technologies, exploring how they could drive efficiency and sustainability across the agriculture and food sectors.
